Importing a SOA Archive (Exported from EM) back into JDeveloper

Posted by John on March 8, 2016

If you don’t have the access to the projects original source but you can access the deployed SOA Archive then you can import the project back into JDeveloper with some minor updates. The first step is to export the project from Enterprise Manager. Right mouse click on the selected project and select Export: Review the […]

Weblogic fails to start with Number Format Exception

Posted by Chris on May 28, 2015

Today we ran into an issue with near zero file space on a WebLogic instance. This apparently corrupted the replica.props file located in: Oracle/Middleware/user_projects/domains/base_domain/servers/AdminServer/data/ldap/conf/ Used the following blog to delete the file and restart the instance when done. http://www.xenta.nl/blog/2012/09/28/server-subsystem-failed-reason-java-lang-numberformatexception-null/

OSB 12c Maven package / pre-integration-test fails

Posted by Chris on March 1, 2015

Recently was working with OSB 12c and attempting to execute the package and pre-integration-test phases. Both of these failed indicating that the plugin could not be found. Through further examination the documentation indicates that the groupId is com.oracle.servicebus. Looking at the .m2/repository the artifactId, oracle-servicebus-plugin, was not located under com.oracle.servicebus but rather com.oracle.servicebus.plugin. Updating the […]

Workaround for creating a WLS 10.3.6 Domain in Dockerfile

Posted by Chris on November 6, 2014

Recently was working with WLS 10.3.6 Domain in Docker and was having no luck with the silent domain utility. It would hang at a certain point and not proceed even after several minutes. Looking online, the only recommendation was in making sure the /etc/hosts had the hostname and IP address. A different approach that did […]

Quick thoughts on Oracle FMW 12.1.3 (SOA Suite and OSB)

Posted by Chris on August 9, 2014

It has been awhile since Oracle released the last major release of Fusion Middleware, version 11G. Since 2010, there have been a bunch of minor releases but the overall complexity, use of different IDEs and general integration of the solution was poor. 12.1.3 helps in that area tremendously. For example: Full Maven 3.0 support for […]
